They came out yesterday for a clogged shower—the young man was very professional, knowledgeable, and quick. Once the job was completed, he cleaned the area, packed up and was on his way. Very much appreciated!

I had a main line plumbing issue. The great part about their service is that they were able to come right away and fix the problem at a reasonable price.

I have dealt with McLay Services, for both AC and furnace repairs, for nearly ten years. My first contact was when I'd asked them for a second opinion regarding another company's expensive estimate for AC repairs. McLay's estimate was substantially lower, and their work was excellent. Every subsequent contact with McLay's has been a model of fairness, friendliness, and prompt responses. Cava (spelling?) McLay, the owner, is especially helpful and cordial in making appointments. Technicians Mike and Matt are both knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with. This is a trustworthy company that I recommend highly.

Caesar came out and snaked our laundry drain. He didn't get it with the first tool so went back and got a different one. After about 10 minutes he was able to clear the blockage and our drains are draining. Caesar even cleaned up after himself before he left and made sure there was no black sewage residue. Unlike other companies we've hired. Thank you Caesar and McLay Services.

They have done ac work and plumbing for me. Redid all my ac ducting as well as fixed a slab leak. I will not use anyone else.

McLay services has been our plumbers/ heating/air conditioning service company ever since we moved here over 25 years ago. Every person they send here is skilled, friendly and honest.

We have family members living in another home that needed some plumbing work. Since I have a high regard for McLay Services, I was hoping that they would be willing to go to that home and do all the repairs. Sure enough, Chad and Skyler of McLay met me there!

The job ended up being complicated due to old plumbing that rusted and stuck. Chad and Skyler had to cut metal pipes, deal with removing a rusted and stubborn old faucet fixture and dislodging old valves. Any issues that came up (and there were more than a few), they had specialty tools to tackle them. It really was quite amazing to watch them work. Furthermore, I am so glad that I didn't try to tackle the job on my own. Chad and Skyler cleared two drains, put new valves under the sink, and installed a faucet and drain stop. After 3 hours of hard work by both of them, I was surprised with a very reasonable price. See, that's the thing: for 25 years, McLay has provided phenomenal work for very reasonable costs. This is why I wanted them to service our family member's home. It was so super cool for them to go and meet me there. McLay Services ROCKS!

A little backstory - a week ago, another HVAC company had come out as the AC would not turn on, and after many long hours, the tech got it working. However, after he left the airflow was minimal and the thermostat wouldn't go below 77. Josh from McLay came out today and was amazing. Not only was he patient, kind and professional and answered all 500 of my questions, he also got my AC working properly, as well as setting up follow up to check for leaks. I am so pleased with the service that I plan to use their services again for some plumbing issues.

I called hoping someone could come out on Saturday because of a new emergency. Archie committed to come out on the same day within a two-hour window. He arrived on time and was very friendly and helpful. He took the time to explain the issues and offered options. The work was completed and the job was fairly priced. We are very pleased with the work and have asked for McLay's to do other jobs that we feel are important and needed. Our family highly recommends McLay Services.

Our family has been using McLay Services for almost ten years and they have always been wonderful! The McLay Services family invests in staff who genuinely care about their craft.

When our water heater had issues back in winter 2014 we tried a few different companies. Some of them tried to scare us into buying a new unit. When we called McLay, the receptionist Nellie was very accommodating and managed to squeeze us in the next day. Chad the senior technician was affable and professional. He quickly identified the problem just needed thorough draining and cleaning. He also gave us instructions on how to maintain our heater optimally. All we paid was labor instead of thousands for a replacement to a perfectly good unit. That same heater is still working to this day.

Since then Chad has fixed faulty valves in our drainage pipes, leaks from our laundry room, replaced our sink and faucet pipes, and many issues throughout the years. Every time he arrives punctually, always maintaining his affable and professional nature, explains what each work involves with transparency and clarity, and shared helpful advice on maintaining optimal conditions before leaving.

Yesterday we just had our HVAC unit fixed through McLay as well. Their HVAC technician Josh is a very knowledgeable young gentleman. He quickly narrowed down the problem down to wiring issues in the thermostat, which resulted in a blown fuse in our HVAC circuit board. A new thermostat and a replacement fuse later, our AC was humming that sweet cool air again. Throughout the fix Josh has been very patient and diligent, explaining what each component does with clarity and giving tips on proper maintenance.

Every service we've had from McLay for the past years reaffirms their reliability. We'll be relying on them for more decades to come.

Chad was very helpful. He found there was a simple repair needed for our leaky faucet. My husband was glad we didn’t need to replace the faucet. Price was fair and job was completed in a timely manner. He offered to do a free plumbing inspection and found our water pressure was high and recommend to replace our failed pressure regulator. I have been a customer of McLay Service for years and have always found them to be excellent! Recently, my water bill was quite high and I was very concerned that there could be a huge plumbing problem in my home. I called McLay Services and the response was fast! The service was thorough, efficient, and very affordable. After Brian ruled-out any house leak, he found the problem was due to the sprinkler system. The plan to remedy this was straightforward and honest. In addition to being helpful, he was creditable in informing me that while he would be able to correct the problem, my gardener would be able to do this for less cost. 100% for integrity, skill, and manners!

Description of Work: Replaced the sink

He works very well, he handled the repairs on my sink very very well. He did a very good job, considering he was alone, he was on time and did the work by himself.

We had McLay Services come to look at and work on a project that seemed to leave anybody that looked at it speechless. We had a root crushing the sewer line from the house to the city line. It wasn't a regular root intrusion issue, but the root was running alongside the sewer line. It was raining cats and dogs the day that I called, but they still came out to look at the situation that was in our backyard.

Chad gave me a quote that was significantly less than the plumbing contractor that came days before. They were also upfront about their schedule and that it would be about a week before they could put me on the schedule. After the initial visit, i was able to schedule everything and complete the appropriate paperwork with their front office.

On repair day, their techs came on time, were very professional, and began their work. Chad originally thought it might be a two day job, but they were able to complete the job in one day. They had to clear some misc lines to get to the problem, but they replaced what they cleared.

I didn't originally call McLay. The issue sprung up and I tried to contact a few plumbers via Yelp. A well-reviewed plumbing company responded to my initial asks for quotes from yelp and came out. As this first company began to assess the issue, they quoted me an amount that just seemed an exorbitant amount. At that point is when I decided to get a 2nd opinion and that's where McLay came in.

I am so very thankful for Chad and his team that came to repair my issue!

Great work. Chad did a wonderful job on our shower head pipe. He explained in detail the issue (broken pipe) and the resolution (cheap, thin plastic pipe to copper). Along with repairing shower handle on the other bathroom.

I scheduled a McLay Services technician visit for my very expensive Carrier Infinity system. My unit was throwing error codes, one of which was "Clean or replace your air filter" which I had done a few months earlier and the code would not clear. So, naturally I reached out to Carrier and they referred me to a few local Authorized Carrier experts. McLay was on the list.

After spending time checking my system and my thermostat, the technician told me, "the next time you replace your filter replace it with a less efficient filter and replace it more frequently". He also recommended I replace my thermostat. Today McLay replaced my stat and everything seems to be running much better

The tech was helpful and polite and walked me through the setup of my new, smart thermostat. As it turns out, most of the problems I was having were a result of a faulty old, not so smart thermostat.

Description of Work: A flooding dishwasher

I hired them to go to my elderly parents home to fix their dishwasher that was flooding their house when they turned it on. The repairman quickly located the problem, fixed it and did some extra cleaning of a filter to ensure it didn't happen again. He also showed my parents what to do to fix it themselves should it happen again. The repairman was there for about 45 minutes and charged my parents the service fee. My parents were completely satisfied with the service and price.

Had them for minor issues including water heater flush and tub caulking. Great job all around. Done quick, efficiently and professionally.

This is to just to share my experience with the above company. It is being done without bias. It is also one of the best ways to express my appreciation for the services. I have never seen anything of this kind. This appreciation can be directed to the technician involved in the transaction of this particular. This is my story: my electric water heater was functioning appropriately. A certain plumbing company was referred to me by the water heater manufacture. I had called that particular plumbing company for services. A technician was sent to my home to service the equipment; it so happened that technician did not have any experience with electric heater. He had pointed out the wrong cause for the malfunction to me. Thereafter; that technician had charged me $ 185.00 for the 18 minutes service. Then; I had called "McLay Services, Inc. for assistance. I had presented my problem to the receptionist. She took my phone number' and promised to call me back after contacting one of the technicians. Half-hour later; McLay services had called me back with a possible cause for the malfunction. A technician was sent to may home. His name is "Cameron". He seemed to be very honest and knowledgeable of the appliance in question. After checking all of the components of the electrical heater, he had come with a good cause of the malfunction. He had proceeded to call the manufacture to relay the problem. The manufacture had decided to send the part to my home via express shipment. The part had arrived, I called McLay. The same technician "Cameron" had arrived to install the part for me. Minutes later; the water heater was functioning well as usual. He had made my day. The business world needs more caring and honest technicians like "Cameron". I should have called "McLay Services, Inc. first rather than the other plumbing company. Thanks to the devotion of that particular technician, I am as happy as ever. I do not need to warm up water every time my family needs to bathe.

From now on; McLay Services, Inc. will continue to be my first priority for all plumbing problems. I had learned from " Cameron" that customers' happiness and satisfaction are usually first in accordance with McLay Services' view. I am so happy and satisfied with the company.

Great service! When we moved into our home we knew the AC and furnace were going to need to be replaced. After a year of the house being hot on one side and cold on the other we got some quotes to replace everything. McLay was not only the best price but I felt was also the most knowledgeable. They replaced everything and the house is much more comfortable now.

I called and spoke to Archie on a Saturday about changing out my parents wall furnace he was very friendly and helpful. He quoted me a price and I scheduled for them to do the work on Thursday his guys showed up with masks and booties which I appreciated. It took several hours to complete the job and used a couple of parts they needed to finish up. They did not charge me a penny over the quoted price. Thank you all so much! And Merry Christmas.

Only good things to say about McLay Services! From scheduling the services call to getting the work done. The technician was up front with pricing and told me only what needed to be repaired on my water heater. Description of Work: My A/C kept stopping. I couldn't get it to stay on.

They came out and found our panel wasn't big enough to carry all the things we had. A new panel was put on and the A/C was serviced. We had another condenser put in as well. The ducts were also checked and found to have a broken one in the attic. they were very nice and did the work right away.

Chad has come out and changed a water heater, installed new sink / garbage disposal, fixed toilets, and fixed various leaks. (My next call will be to replace shower head in Master Bathroom!) Chad is always very honest, knowledgeable, articulate, and polite. Prices are fair and I like working with a fellow small business. I've recommend McLay to my parents, other family, and friends and they have also been very happy. Great company!

We had a major leak in a pipe leading to our kitchen sink. After doing the best I could to trouble shoot, I realized this was above my level of expertise. We called McClay and from the first moment they were professional and responsive. They set us up with a two hour window (10:00- 12:00) and arrived at about 10:05.

Christian from McLay Services showed up within the agreed time frame to install a new kitchen faucet and fix a leak in one of my bathtubs. He did a great job. Faucet was installed within 20 to 25 minutes. He also fixed a leak in my bathtub in the Master bathroom and installed new a new drain and spout. He was neat and clean in his work and answered any questions that I had. Very good plumber. I would recommend McLay Services to anyone!!

We were scheduled quickly and courteously. Steven was on time, both times he was scheduled. He was thorough and professional. We ended up having to wait for a new motor since it was Saturday on our first visit but he arranged the earliest possible on Monday based on our schedule. He had to replace the motor and blades. Our air conditioning works great now.

This was my 3rd plumber for the same request. I had 2 TOTO toilets to install in slab floor. The 1st plumber came and couldn't install because his drill bit broke(?) but he complained about toilet throughout. He changed shut off bulb and hose and charged me $145, but couldn't install. 2nd plumber came but didn't even want to touch the toilet because they aren't familiar with TOTO toilet. Finally, called Mclay, knowing they can do the job but afraid the cost, but it was just reasonable charge, same with other company would charge!! Chad came and he installed 1st toilet about half the time 1st plumber was struggling trying to install but failed. The 1st plumber actually drilled in wrong place. He checked if there's any leaks, double, triple times to make sure. Added extra washers no extra charge, Chad just made sure its properly working. Very efficient and excellent!! He was very polite and pleasant. He gave me discount also. I just regret wasting time and money on some plumber who says they do but can't. And very happy that Chad came to rescue, done job so quick and efficiently. I know for now on who to call in need of plumbing problem. If anyone need plumber, Mclay will help you.

Professional and competent, what more can you ask for…

I called McLays due to a drainage pipe problem with our home A/C system. They sent a repairman later the same day. Mike showed up right on time. I explained what was happening and he knew right away what the likely cause was. He cleared the pipe and then checked it to make sure it was flowing properly again. Once he confirmed it was all good, he reassembled the pipe and gave some advice on how to keep the pipe working properly in the future. Mike was very professional and did not try to upsell anything. We'll definitely use McLays again if we come across any other problems with our A/C system.

cLay Services was responsive, timely, and competitively priced. We are distant owners, and they worked well directly with our tenant. They came when they said they would, and communicated the recommended solution to us. They diagnosed the problem as a faulty controller board (a $600 repair). This was confirmed by another estimate we got, and definitely a much preferred solution to another company's evaluation that we needed to replace the entire system for a cost of $8,000 - $10,000. We gave McLay an A for Quality, but we've only had 2 months experience with the results of their work, and the failure was a somewhat seasonal problem. But, so far, so good.

Technician arrived at 3pm for schedule service between 3pm - 5pm. I like that! Especially since we were waiting in the house without A/C. He took ~ 10 min to assess issue and determined capacitor required replacement. Replaced and started up system and waiting until cooling. Checked filters and suggested replacement. Completed service in one hour. Said he would provide a quote for a new system as requested, however have not yet received. No sales pitch, no negative comments regarding current system only positive. Knowledgeable and efficient. No complaints, will use again as needed.

McLay has always been our go to plumber & for HVAC repairs. Their office staff is professional, timely, & knowledgeable. You get what you pay for with this company and my problems have always been fixed correctly the first time.

Chad Delk was our plumber that fixed our shower drain with in 30 minutes. Our previous plumber told us that we had a collapsed pipe and they were going to have to brake out our shower floor in order to fix the problem. But Chad took his time and used two different machines and fixed our problem. Our previous plumber told us it was going to cost $5000.00 to fix the problem. I'm so thankful that was not the case. McLay is going to be our plumber from here on. They are honest and clean and do great work!

Scheduled an appointment and asked that they call when the serviceman was on the way since there was a 2 hour window and I had to drive to the home to meet him.

Cesar was able to identify the problem, but did not have the part, a capacitor, on the truck which required a trip of 30 min to an AC parts distributor. Part in hand, repairs were completed and the AC unit was cleaned and checked for any other problems; none reported.

McLay Services provided the annual service on our AC system. Michael did a diagnostic evaluation, added freon, replaced filters in the house, and gave me advice on how how to maintain my system and when to best schedule a heating system check. Michael was friendly and knowledgeable. I have been placed on their schedule to contact me in November to service our heating unit. I will definitely contact them in the future for any AC/Heating problems.

Have issues with main water service line recently, and I called McLay Services, Zach came over and explain the issues and what need to be done. They came at promised time, started the job and completed in timely manner. Archie the owner came to inspect the site at the end of day 1, and Chad the supervisor came at the end of the job, inspect everything and did the final connection. And the guys that worked on the job can’t be nicer, they all work really hard but still pleasant answering all our questions and concerns, Zach was there through out the whole project, Scott and Steven were alternately helping him. These guys are professional in both of their knowledge of the job and manner. Can’t be happier. We just finished re-landscaping our yard a couple months back, they tore it apart but able to put them back like nothing ever happened. Great job guys and thank you very much.

Just had my home AC repaired by Alan. This guy is really good! He immediately identified the issue (burned out capacitor) and went back to his shop to get the part. As we all know Summer feels like it never left. At the start of April it hit 90 degree weather. I turned on my AC and it had a very dusty smell. I knew I had to change the filters. I called McLay Sevices to make sure I was doing everything right. Since I bought my AC unit from them. (Best purchase I could have ever made). They told me I had a free maintenance check. If I could give 10 stars I would!!!! I thought of doing a little DIY nest thermostat installation and all was going well until I blew a fuse. I immediately called Mclay Services, they were prompt and professional to come help us get our Air conditioning back up and running. On top of replacing the fuse they even helped me complete my nest thermostat install and didn't leave until they knew my AC was back up and running. After this experience I have no desire to call any other company in the future.

I thought I had a pipe leaking in a wall outside my kitchen. There was quite a bit of stucco damage that had been hidden behind a large shelf unit.

The plan was to come out and do a leak detection which is costly, but they would apply that charge to repair if they did the job. I think this meant putting a camera into wall to check what was leaking and how bad it was? Christian came out and spent a good amount of time, thoroughly checked for moisture inside and out, without opening wall and realized there is no moisture! After seeing the damage to stucco he thinks that rain is probably getting in through the bottom of our window. Well, the outcome was that they didn't charge me for the leak detection check, but only a nominal fee for coming out. Also, they honored the $20 coupon I had, even though I later realized that it was only supposed to apply to a bill over $100!! Looks like I have found a new trustworthy plumber for all our future needs! Now on to find someone to repair the window.

They performed a pluming inspection & found a small leak at the main water shut-off valve. They replaced the valve with a new one and also inspected my water heater & tightened the connections. They arrived on time and were very professional. I would definitely use them again.
